Dad, Mom, & Joshua

Guangzhou, May 20-27

The Chinese adoption of Zoe was finalized in Taiyuan.
However, American citizenship must be processed
through the American Consulate in Guangzhou.

The following are a few pictures from our stay
in Guangzhou.

During our stay in Guangzhou, we were cared for
by our guide, Veronica. Veronica is the
best guide we have ever had in China
and has become a personal friend of our family.
She radiates the love of God and God has
great plans for her and her family!

Both Joshua and Zoe really
appreciated the care they recieved
from Veronica.

On Sunday May 22, we attended our first
church service in China. We were invited by Judy,
a shop owner we met in the local community. Thanks Judy
for being open with your faith and making us welcome.
The church conducts 3 services every Sunday and
each is packed to capacity with predominately
Chinese nationals. A powerful time of praise, worship,
and training in the Word.

The Christian church in China predominately remains
underground, but major shifts are underway. God
is never confined to the boundaries of a building.
The "church" is God's bride in action.

Where ever we travel, Joshua wants to ride a train.
He prayed that we would be able to ride a train in China,
and indeed he was able to.

We took a 2 hour train ride to the hometown
of our guide Veronica. The train was beautiful,
the service exceptional, and the scenary very interesting.
Thanks Veronica for helping Joshua fulfill another
of his heart desires.

Guangzhou is located along the Pearl River. From our hotel
we saw boats go up and down the river daily.

Joshua was given the option of going to a park with
the tour group, or taking a river cruise with his dad.
Here, he is enjoying a 2 hour cruise on the
Chinese Pearl River.

Zoe passed her physcial exams
in Guangzhou and was positioned to
become a American Citizen the moment
she set foot on American soil. Today,
she is one of the newest citizens in our
great country.
